March 7 a charity concert featuring young Russian and Greek scholarship holders of Vladimir Spivakov Foundation took place in Thessalonica, Greece.

March 3, the Reading Room of the Pedagogical University of Krakow hosted the opening of a month-long exhibition entitled “Icon – Holy Space”.

The opening ceremony was attended by the leading Ukrainian politicians, public figures and scientists.

February 25 marked the opening of the Russian Room in Hurghada. In early February the foundation donated books to the new language center’s library at the 42nd Cairo International Book Fair.

The first seminar aimed at directors and methodology experts of Russian Centers has gathered participants from 15 European countries.

Prior to the seminar the Russian Center of Loránd Eötvös University (Budapest) hosted a concert of Katya Tompos, a young singer and actress of Russian and Hungarian origin.

February 19 the newly-elected Board of Trustees of the Russkiy Mir Foundation gathered to summarize the 2009 results and to discuss patterns of further development. The meeting was chaired by Liudmila Verbitskaya.

February 24 Executive Director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation and Deputy Director of the Institute of Europe RAS and Regional Director for European Programs Alexey Gromyko met with Head of the Wilton Park executive agency Richard Burge.

In the frame of the virtual excursions the audience was shown films “Walking Across St. Petersburg”, “Treasures of Hermitage”, "Hermitage. The Art of Western Europe”. Demonstration of films generated strong interest and will continue through the end of February.
